Is it practical to use geotextile in road construction?
Dec 19, 2017

It is practical to use geotextile for constructing roads. But only in certain circumstances and requirements.

Geotextiles are permeable fabrics which, when used in association with soil, have the ability to separate, filter, reinforce, protect, or drain. Typically made from polypyrene or polyester, geotextile fabrics come in three basic forms: woven (resembling mail bag sacking), needle punched (resembling felt), or heat bonded (resembling ironed felt).

This property of geotextiles gives them an advantage over other conventional methods of road construction.

The roads constructed using geotextiles have the property to drain off the water very quickly.

GEOTRST main products include various size and colors of PP/PET woven and non-woven fabrics, such as geotextilesgeotextile containers (geotextile bagstubes and shipping containers), silt fence, geogird, geosynthetics and so on.
